Welcome to Flanders 7T, a unique Flemish collaboration bringing together five Flemish universities and four Flemish university hospitals around a shared ambition: to further develop the potential of 7 Tesla MRI and accelerate the translation of innovative research into clinical practice.

Through our joint investment in a state-of-the-art 7T MRI scanner, we are creating an environment in which researchers, physicians, engineers and other experts work together to develop new imaging techniques and applications. The exceptionally high field strength of 7 Tesla offers opportunities to visualize anatomical structures and biological processes in greater detail, opening the door to new insights into health and disease.

But Flanders 7T is about more than technological innovation. Our ambition is to translate research findings into applications that can ultimately benefit patients. By connecting fundamental and applied research with the clinical expertise of our university hospitals, we are building a bridge between the laboratory and clinical care.

Flanders 7T therefore stands for collaboration, innovation and translation. By sharing knowledge, infrastructure and expertise across institutions, we aim to position Flanders at the forefront of the development and clinical application of 7T MRI.
